The West is Sad

I have written before about An-Nahar: the right-wing, sectarian Christian, racist anti-Syrian, anti-Palestinian (people) newspaper of Lebanon.  You may notice that I don't write about it much as of late. Why should I? It has been dying a fast death.  It is not a political factor anymore, and it has no writers or columnists that people read.  To be sure, people do mock the style of Sarkis Na`um, who for years served as propagandist for the Syrian regime, before propagandizing as of late for the American regime.  People take bets whether they can actually finish an article by Na`um.  I never win in the contest.  Look at this headline: it says that "the West is sad" about the Russian veto at UN.  Oh, yes. Very sad.  The "West" is in love with Arabs and cares deeply about their innocent blood. For sure.
