It was just incredible. Aljazeera devoted its weekly religion program (which features the tele-Islamist, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi unless he is not available) to the issue sectarianism in Egypt. Who did they invite to answer their questions on how best to eradicate sectarianism in Egypt? None other than the extremist hateful sectarian, Muhammad `Imarah, who is one of the most notorious agitator against Copts in Egypt. `Imarah has encyclopedic knowledge of Islamic history and uses it for his purposes (read the fine books he wrote in the 1960s when he was still a secular socialist). `Imarah basically blames Copts for the war on them in Egypt and he habitually insults the Copts' Pope. This is a man who believes that Christians should submit to Muslim rule and that the Arab nation is merely a subset of the Islamic nation. `Imarah says that non-Coptic Christians fare well in Egypt and that the Copts are the "only problem". He refers to the Copts as a state-within-a-state. It was an hour of pure sectarian agitation and Aljazeera bears at least partial responsibility for whatever happens to Copts in Egypt now.
