Who can disagree with what this pro-Syrian politician said yesterday when he said that if the Syrian regime were to server ties with Hizbullah and Iran and make peace with Israel, Western countries would rush to suddenly praise its democratic credentials.  I mean, it has happened before in the case of Sadat.
