Today, another security team of the US embassy in Beirut visited Sidon to protest the release of the three local students (they are secular Arab nationalists before they are accused of Al-Qa`idah sympathies) who protested against the visit last week by US embassy staff to Sidon. Apparently, the visit today by the team was also met with protests and one stone was tossed at one of the cars, I read. The protest was bigger today outside of the local government offices. I am watching it now on New TV.
PS New TV reported that some of the (secular Arab nationalists and communist) protesters also kicked the cars as they left. (Kicking is highly offensive in Arab culture).
