Have we not seen this movie before?

I mean, we have seen this plot before. Western governments want to get rid--for reasons of their own--of a particular government in Afghanistan, so they organize, arm, and fund a rag-tag army of world Islamists to assist in their goals.  Once that government was overthrown, those same rebels turned their guns against Western governments.  Are we going to miss another number of stinger missiles in the Libyan war now?
