For those who wrote to me, when I mention US media and government celebration of Iranian protesters I in no way am demeaning the Iranian protesters themselves who have every right, nay a duty, to revolt against their Islamic oppressive government. Of course, there are many--but NOT ALL--in the Iranian opposition movement who are despicable, like Rafsanjani or Moussavie, etc. And when I say that if the revolts were in Iran, they would be so lionized in the West, it is a true statement and the same would uphold if the revolts were in Syria. If the revolts of Egypt took place in Syria, the coverage would have been more extensive and more sympathetic, and many in the Western governments would remind audiences about their past criticisms of the Syrian government, as if those governments ever gave a hoot to Arabs and their grievances.
