There is no question that when there is a crisis or a big event in the Arab world, Aljazeera is number one (and this has been packed up by regular public opinion surveys of the Arab people, as University of Maryland's Shibly Telhami had told me). No one hears of Al-Arabiyyah: it is not even catching up. AlArabiyya is only mentioned to be mocked usually. The Aljazeera team in Cairo is not as good as when it was during its last bureau chief, Husayn `Abdul-Ghani, and some of its members were too cautious in expressing critical coverage of the regime. A brave Egyptian correspondent is the indefatigable, Muna `Ahmawi, of New TV.
