The New York Times had a story about Mexico's obsession with Guinness World Records. The reporter has not visited Lebanon. It is a daily obsession. Remember when Hizbullah's leader of the parliamentary bloc, Muhammad Ra`d, presided over the biggest tabbulah dish? As if there is an international competition for the biggest Tabbulah dish. Lebanon creates records that it knows that no one else would compete in. I mean, when Ihdin made the biggest kibbi dish, did they think that France and China and Mexcio were also making an effort to make the biggest kibbi dish? So here, we go again, Lebanon's biggest Shish Kabab. Notice that the Lebanese Armed Forces are represented in this picture: they have nothing better to do of course, since they have abdicated the task of defending Lebanon from Israeli attacks to young volunteers.
