Oh, another thing bothered me. I received a copy of the special issue of Al-Hadaf (the mouthpiece of the PFLP) on George Habash. They reprinted my article on Habash (which was published in Al-Akhbar) but they took the liberty of censoring chunks of the article, including the fact that Habash was sipping a glass of whiskey when I first saw him, my critical reference to Layla Khalid, my criticisms of the PFLP and its alliances over the years, etc. Either print the article in full, or don't print it at all. What bothered me most is that they also took out my negative references to Rafiq Hariri. What gives? And why would secular leftists be offended by a reference to Habash sipping whiskey?
