Addendum on my review of Michael Oren. Oh, also, the author says that Americans never blamed all Muslims for the deeds of Al-Qa`idah. His evidence: a remark by Tom Clancy. He seems to have been influenced by the fabrications of Joan Peters as he claims that some 300,000 Arab workers flooded into Palestinian to take advantage of Zionist prosperity. And on two occasions he claims that the Palestinians benefited from the economic "benefits" of Zionism, when every British report from that period identified economic deprivation as one of the factors in Palestinian resentment. He must have derived this observation from Herzl's fictitious account of the future Palestine in Altneuland (published in 1902). He also loved citing Westerners complaining about the bad hygiene of Arabs.
