There is a new fabrication in Arab and Hariri media now: that Rafiq Hariri was part of the PFLP or of Wadi` Haddad's organization, PLFP-International Operations. I can categorically and unreservedly assure you that these are lies. I even asked people in Sidon a year ago--people who knew Wadi` Haddad and worked with him, and people who knew Rafiq Hariri from his days in the Movement of Arab Nationalists. People in MAN will tell you that Hariri was most undistinguished, unless you count his shoulders that were constantly used in demonstrations to carry chanters. It is sad that Layla Khalid has participated in spreading those lies about alleged "heroism" of Hariri. Here, the editor-in-chief of Saudi newspaper, Al-Hayat, Ghassan Shirbil, spreads more lies about that by saying that Rafiq Hariri was around Wadi` Haddad's house when it was hit with rockets by Mossad agents in Beirut. But he forgot that Rafiq Hariri was in Saudi Arabia at the time.
