Some of you may be my students (although I never mention my blog to my students). To those American college kids who are (well-intentionedly often) getting active in the cause of Dharfur (and there is such a cause of course (a cause that does not belong to the hands of Kirstoff), and the awful responsibility of the Sudanese government should be condemned). But why not get active about the people in Afghanistan and Iraq? What happened to those who posed as feminists for a week to prepare the US for war in Afghanistan? And most importantly, what about Somalia? Here is a war that was recently reignited by the US. Or do the cause have to be approved by Karen Hughes ahead of time?
