I have been very critical of Gen. `Awn in the past; very critical. But I must confess that he has been least sectarian of all the leaders in Lebanon today. I am convinced that he may have lost some support among the Christians because he has adamantly resisted the temptation to succumb to sectarian agitation and mobilization. That can't be said of the others.
