E. is following the Mehlis network in Germany. She sent me this: "So Lehmann is suing the German independent daily, "Die Junge Welt" for citing al Akhbar's claims that Lehmann is working as a private security consultant for Hariri Inc. Lehmann is not requesting that "Die Junge Welt revoke the accusation but rather that they refrain from repeating it. An admission of guilt? Perhaps. Lehmann sued Die Junge Welt in December for revealing his identity as the suspected interrogator of Khalid el Masri in the "salt pit" in Kabul. His lawyers argued that Lehmann's identity was not to be revealed because he is "not a figure of contemporary importance". The newspaper's lawyer used Oliver Schroem's thinly disguised fawning biography of Lehmann, as well as footage showing Lehmann handing over the first UNIIIC report to Saniora, as evidence to the contrary. The judge ruled in the newspaper's favor. Now he is suing them again -- essentially in an attempt to impose a gag order."
