Standards of the Times. An insider told this to somebody who told me. The New York Times correspondent in South Lebanon, SABRINA TAVERNISE, was writing a story about Bin Jubayl after the end of the Israeli war on Lebanon. The story had a line of how Hizbullah fighters were emerging from their underground hiding places. Her editor in New York was furious. He accused her of cheering Hizbullah. The language was changed. It became (in the published version): "Hezbollah Fighters Limp Out Into the Light".
