Al-Hayat maintains that he cried "three times." (As-Safir said he cried twice). Al-Hayat denied press reports that he was sad about the plight of Lebanese victims of Israeli aggression. It stated that his shoe was very tight and uncomfortable, and his toe was about to explode.
