Nasrallah's new speech. I watched it. He was not in top form. Usually, as in the last speech, he sounds more assured. It was interesting (but not as interesting as Condoleezza Rice finds her own statements) that he had to spend time to justify the decision to deploy the napping Lebanese Army in the South. That only proves that the rank-and-file of Hizbullah, and the general sympathizers, needed convincing. It was also interesting that he urged that people don't engage in public demonstrations. He is worried that things will get out of hand, and he must know that there are many people "on the street" who really want to bring down Sanyurah's government. He was only effective when he pointed out that Israeli government is being less open to the media than the Lebanese government, and that the Israeli government only shows missiles' hits on Israel when they miss their targets. He said that when John Bolton said that the Lebanese government had agreed to the French-US plan, that Bolton was deliberately instigating discord in Lebanon. Oh, no. I believe Bolton here. I think that Hariri Inc had agreed to the plan before they talked to Nabih Birri. Nasrallah remains too trusting of Hariri Inc, or not distrustful enough. Today, I was surprised that he did not seem to know the extent of the conspiracy and its roots in Lebanon. He mentioned that some Lebanese leaders sound like Israeli officials, but sounded as if that was a coincidence. It is not.
