The New TV reporter in Tyre was rattling off names of villages destroyed and devastated by Israeli bombing. He mentioned, among others: Hinniyyah, `Izziyyah, and Qulaylah. Hinniyyah and `Izziyyah were owned (in a semi-feudal fashion) by my paternal grandfather, Muhammad As`ad AbuKhalil before he sold them to the Salam family in Beirut. Qulaylah is where the AbuKhalil family is concentrated. Thousand of AbuKhalils live there. Yesterday, my sister told me that In`am AbuKhalil is not the same In`am who is a close relative. This victim is a distant relative.
