I heard a Syrian propagandist on Al-Jazeera today. It was quite nauseating. Here is a government that shouts about "liberation" and about "resistance" and has never lifted a finger to support Arabs in distress. How could that government speak of "liberation" when the Ba`thist government accepts the humiliating occupation of the Golan Heights, and the government brags about its strict adherence to the cease-fire agreement with an occupying power. When it comes to Palestine (or South Lebanon), the Ba`th has only given us empty and jarring rhetoric.
