To the right, is right-wing crackpot Lebanonese presidential candidate, no less, Shibli Al-Mallat, who is most remembered for his article in An-Nahar in 2003 titled "My friend Paul Wolfowitz", and who recently sat meekly at the table of right-wing, anti-Arab Member of Congress, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen at some Republican function. Mallat was hoping to get support for his comical "campaign." Only a few weeks ago, Jumblat was hosting Elliott Abrams at the same place. Of course, you don't expect Chomsky to know all that about those Lebanese people that he is meeting. I know that this was not his idea.
