Now that the Emir of Kuwait is dead, the dysfunction of the Kuwaiti royal family will worsen. He was nicknamed (by his family of course) the Prince of Hearts. My father was once in an official Lebanese delegation to Kuwait, and they were there for an extended period of time (and they were showered with expensive gifts, and my father came back with two barrels of shrimp--I kid you not). Anyway, he brought back stories about the Emir. That he would marry a different virgin every month; that he once did not recognize his own daughter, etc.
