What is this reference to "Lubnan Al-`adhim" (the Great Lebanon), common in Lebanon these days? I mean, I genuinely feel sorry for (and not anger toward) those Lebanonese who are so afflicted with acute cases of illusions and delusions about their potato homeland. I mean, even Britain is no more Great Britain. Lebanon, great? When, where? How insane can Lebanonese culture be? I mean, the Middle East food in Lebanon is great, but come on? A dish of good hummus does not amount to global greatness. Wake up, Lebanonese. Wake up.
