Rhetoric of Eulogy in Lebanon. From a purely literary point of view, the rhetoric of eulogy in Lebanon is very poor. And this really applies to all sides: the Lebanese Forces, Hizbullah, Amal, PSP, SSNP, Al-Mustaqbal, Tayyar, just everybody. When one of their own dies, they all use the same preditable rhetorical language, to the effect that x (always a male): did not die; he will remain alive; he will stay in us; the flame will not be extinguished; that he will be immortalized in heaven; that his soul remains; that we all are that person; that so many of him will be reborn, and on and on and on. Use your imagination, please. Try some originality. Enough already.
