It shows you the extent to which Lebanese politics, and the ruling groups in Lebanon today, reflect the Gulf royal families. Walid Jumblat and his deputies have launched a strong campaign against `Amr Musa. They know that any attacks on Musa play well in Kuwait, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. I say this although I too don't like Musa, but for different reasons of course. Those Lebanese politicians: are they genetically incapable of living and operating without outside masters? During the war, let us face it, `Arafat controlled West Beirut politics, while Israel controlled East Beirut politics. This is Lebanon. Don't enjoy.
