Regarding Turkey (the meat, not the country and not to be confused with its sister Tofurkey). In Bilad Ash-Sham, we know it as Habashah (Abyssinia), and in Egypt, it is known as Roman Rooster. Why, I wonder? Do countries call it by the name of the area where they think it comes from?ٌ
