The Nation Magazine and the Middle East? I am still angry about the lousy article by Scott Sherman in the Nation magazine about the war on Middle East studies at Columbia University. It was an article that basically maintained that my dear friend Joseph Massad is a "wog" who has gone too far, and that he has to behave himself, and act like a submissive Arab living in the West. I heard that the Nation is planning to print some letters that were sent to them against the piece in the May issue. I also heard that Sherman is scarmbling to find a willing Arab to support his article, to print in that issue.
