Childhood Memories: When I was in my first year of elementary school at IC in Beirut, there was this much older guy in high school who was in our school bus. He was very tall, and rarely spoke with anybody. We knew that he was a big shot, or the son of a big shot, because he had--unlike everybody else in the bus--a reserved window seat. His name is Walid Jumblat. Window seats were highly prized in the bus and the AbuKhalil brothers entered many fist fights to win them over the school years. This person, who would later inherit the leadership of a bogus "Progressive" and "Socialist" party in Lebanon, was the only one with that privilege. Back then we knew: he was somebody born with a...Hummus spoon in his mouth.
