AlJazeera hosted the Libyan dictator Mu`ammar Al-Qadhdhafi on the last day of the year. Now I know that there is a tendency in the US to dismiss all those Middle East leaders who oppose the US as "crazy." But this fellow is really close to being crazy. He still rambles about his silly Green Book (I love the color green except that very bright and light green favored by Qadhdhafi). But the highlight of the program when Egyptian columnist Fahmi Huwaydi (and others) castigated the dictatorship in Libya. The pro-American dictator was not amused.
