New York Times pays tribute to a right-wing anti-communist who taught Western correspondents Russian

"“On another day,” Mr. Taubman said, “Boris reached into his briefcase and pulled out a real pistol, pointed it at me and started shouting in Russian, ‘Communicate, or die!’”"  I hope this teaching technique is no more pursued.  Just imagine the international uproar if an Arab who teaches Arabic were to resort to this terrible method.
