This won't ever get covered in the Western press. Those Alawite women and children were kidnapped and held hostage by Nusrah Front. But then Nusrah did not want to spend money on feeding them, so they transferred them to the moderate "Free Syrian Army", where they were released last week after years of captivity.

PS Alawite women normally don't wear the veil. But once in the custody of the moderate and the non-moderate Syrian rebels, veils are imposed on them.
