There are signs already of a Saudi-Qatari rift. You see it in some Qatari regime media, for example. Huffington Post Qatari regime mocked Saudi regime for sending an envoy to meet with "Hizbullah president of Lebanon", or words to that effect a week or so ago. You also see it in Al-Quds Al-`Arabi. Saudi regime (read the last issue of Economist) is not only failing in achieving its declared regional goals (do you know how many times I read in Saudi regime media that "legitimate forces are on the outskirts of Sanaa?), but it also has poisoned its relations with its own Arab allies. Yet, Western media and DC think tanks (which receive Gulf funding but under the famous Saudi rule "no strings attached" and transparency) are still fawningly praising Prince Muhammad bin Salman--perhaps because he played the piano for John Kerry.
