Michael Lerner and Ali's funeral

This tribute is undeserved.  Not only due to the vapidness of Michael Lerner's "politics of meaning"--do you remember that one?--but also because the premise of Lerner's views on Palestine has always been typically racist: that Israeli occupation is bad not for what it has done and does to the Palestinian and Arab people but because it causes great "anguish"--here is that dreaded word--to the Israeli occupation soldiers.
