The Bin Laden "documents" released by the US government: are they fake?

I don't know whether those documents are real or not, and I don't know if I can trust the translation and selections of the documents, and I don't know whether the media of Saudi princes are fabricating their own documents but if this "document" was released by the US government then the documents may be fake.  This alleged Iranian connection with Al-Qa`idah would be believable if the Al-Qa`idah operatives were not referring to Shi`ite religious sites as "sacred".  Something is fishy here.
