Neil Swidey of the Boston Globe

I could not be more happy with the success of Neil Swidey, a reporter for the Boston Globe and author of several books.  Neil was one of my first students ever, at Tufts University back in 1990.  What reminded me of him is watching the movie, Spotlight, about the Boston Globe.  Neil took two of my courses (Arab Politics and Arab-Israeli conflict) at the time and he was by far the very best student I had during my visiting stint at Tufts University.  I still remember his two research papers for my classes and how advanced his writing and analytical skills were.  This is one of the rewards of teaching: to follow the success of former students.
