Julie alerted me that there is a town called Arab in Alabama. So I was naturally intrigued. I found out the town had been actually misnamed due to a typo by the postal office: "Start your visit at the Tuttle Thompson Park at the corner of Hwy 69 and Main Street, where you can see the statue of our city's founding father, Tuttle Thompson. Our town is named in honor of his son Arad Thompson. (Even though the post office misspelled it and named us Arab). "
