New York Times gave books on Islam to this woman to review: this is how she started her academic review

"This I learned long before Donald Trump. In 2005, the prominent “new atheist” Richard Dawkins shouted his disapproval at me — from the audience — during my TED talk at Oxford University. More recently, the novelist Salman Rushdie chastised me on Twitter for suggesting that even atheists worship something. Many of Rushdie’s followers, worshiping their own wisdom, responded to my tweet with vitriol. Defending the value of doubt through crude certitude is a sign of our times."  Asking her to review books on Islam is akin to asking David Irving to review books on Judaism--although the latter is a better writer than the former.
