How Western correspondents in Beirut cover Syria

Of course, the Syrian war has been an accumulation of victories and defeats for this side or that side (and only defeats for the Syrian people as a whole if you ask me): but Western correspondents in Beirut only cover the advances by the rebels when they occur and they ignore advances by regime troops when they occur.  This is what I like about the coverage of Syria by Western correspondents in Beirut: they don't even try to pretend that they are doing a professional job.  They don't hid from their readers that their task is primarily propaganda.
