Of course, the Syrian war has been an accumulation of victories and defeats for this side or that side (and only defeats for the Syrian people as a whole if you ask me): but Western correspondents in Beirut only cover the advances by the rebels when they occur and they ignore advances by regime troops when they occur. This is what I like about the coverage of Syria by Western correspondents in Beirut: they don't even try to pretend that they are doing a professional job. They don't hid from their readers that their task is primarily propaganda.
