Propaganda techniques of Syrian rebels

I know that Western media have become mere reproducers and carriers of the various propaganda claims and fabrications of Syrian rebels. Let me first state my premise about Syria: that both the Syrian regime and the Syrian rebels are war criminals who don't have any regard for the lives of the civilians of the other side. And let me say that both sides are capable of committing heinous crimes.  But let me also say that the lies and fabrications of Syrian rebels have far exceeded the lies and fabrications of the infamous Ba`thist propaganda machine.  Syrian rebels have lied time and time again that you never know when they are telling the truth, especially when their evidence are always Qatari and Saudi media.  But Syrian rebels know full well that no matter what lies they tell, no matter how tall their tales are, Western media (with the likes of Liz Sly and the various other propagandists for Syrian rebels embedded in Western mainstream media) immediately publish their stories without any need for verification or documentation or checks.  Syrian rebels are now accorded by Western media a privilege only accorded to one side in the Middle East: the state of Israel. Regarding the recent massacre in Duma: I don't know if a massacre was committed or not but I certainly don't rely on Syrian rebel media or in Syrian regime media to know the truth about Syria. But the pattern has been established: whenever the Syrian rebels are about to lose a province or a quarter or a city, they cry out loud: a massacre or a chemical gas attack. And Western media and government rush to focus on that particular massacre.  The pattern is too predictable not to be suspicious here.  A friend also noticed this: "notice at minute 10:55 in this video, that they hide the faces of the covered corpses with special effects.  I must say, overall, that the videos of the ghouta massacre in 2013 were more convincing".  Again, I won't state either way whether a massacre was committed or not but both sides are experts in committing massacres, but one side (the Syrian rebels) commit massacres with cheers by Western media and government.  Furthermore, what about the on-going indiscriminate shelling of Damascus which has been going on for weeks now: why that does not arouse outrage in Western media? What about the cut off of water from Damascus? And most importantly, the Syrian rebels have been committing massacres against two villages which have been held hostage only because they happen to be Shi`ites and there was not one article in Western media about the plight of Fu`a and Kafrayya.  Such are the standards of Western media in their lousy propaganda coverage of Syria.  I lived to the day when Western media (including Guardian and Economist) read very much like the tabloid of Saudi and Qatari princes.
