"On Tuesday, just days later, the Saudi press is reporting that Mohammad al-Tobaishi, the head of royal protocol and the assailant in the video, had been removed from his position. This is not the first time that Salman has taken action against an unpopular public figure since assuming power in January. Last month, he banned a member of the royal family from speaking publicly after he was accused of making a racist remark. And in another incident, Salman fired Health Minister Ahmed Khatib not long after a leaked video showed Khatib arguing about a private hospital in Riyadh." (thanks Basim)
