So who is a Huthi, really?

From comrade Laure: "Asad, this is really an innocent question:  when the term Houthi is used, does it strictly mean houthi fighters/militants (Ansar allah) or does it also refer to supporters of the Houthi movement?  I mean is there anything like a Houthi civilian? When it is reported that the Saudis are bombing the Houthis I hear Houthi people (and militants). Unlike let's say Hezbollah which as a term means a party, houthi can be used in the singular and plural form.. you see what I mean?  So when a houthi gets married, his wife becomes a houthiya and then they have little houthi babies and they all become legitimate houthi targets?"
