He has, however, engaged in heated exchanges with the Israeli leadership". Look at this phrasing. They make it sound like opposition to anti-Semitism clashes with engaging in heated exchanges with Israeli leaders. They make it sound like: a true enemy of anti-Semitism would never ever engage in heated exchanges with Israeli leaders.
