Jordanian royal propaganda

From H.  "It's very sensitive times for Jordan now and it's not the first time either. But it's becoming increasing an either/or situation. You're either with Muath and by extension the King's pledge to "avenge" him or with ISIS. In times like these when the official and the tribal rhetoric intersect, it becomes more dangerous for those who disagree to say it publicly. "Revenge" is what tribes love and are good at, and the government is using this same abhorrent concept to rally them and the people (like you said, they didn't hang any Jordanians so not to lose what tribal support they have). Many disagree, but not many are willing to risk being accused of supporting ISIS covertly by opposing the war and the King. Notice that there's nothing being said about the "war on terror." It's "revenge." You don't want it? You must be sympathetic to ISIS and its methods or a coward.
No one usually watches the official Jordanian channel unless there's a crisis and people are awaiting statements from officials. Everyone now has been watching the channel for days. All regular programs have been suspended in favor of hosting officials and politicians to talk about Muath and the Jordanian response. Of course they're all using the same either/or rhetoric and people have bought it in their grieve and anger. It's war propaganda. When the judge al-Zaatrah was killed by Israeli soldiers in March last year, it was simply another piece of news on the Jordanian TV and they never followed up on it. People forgot about it after a while and that was that. There's no way they can forget about this now with all Jordanian media channels tuning into the gov rhetoric, probably as ordered. "
