Michael Walzer: what he needs to know

"Values that the zealots denounce as “Western” are very much in contention here: individual liberty, democracy, gender equality, and religious pluralism."  But even if you read the literature of fanatical Muslims, their denunciations are not about those "Western" values, but about other Western values, like:  wars, invasion, torture, surveillance, and economic wars.  I know that this does not go well with the dominant self-serving US narrative since Sep. 11, but it is true.
