Khalil Sa`adah

I wrote about this great writer from early 20th century (and father of Antun Sa`adah).  I read the two volumes of his writings newly edited and released by Badr Al-Hajj and Salim Muja`is.  He writes: "Nomadism with freedom is better than civilization with bondage, and savagery with independence is better than modernity with occupation".  (Khalil Sa`adah, Syria, Vol. 1, p. 153).
