Jamal Maarouf is the savior. Wait. No, he is not.

This is rather comical now: the likes of Liz Sly and David Ignatius writes about some one, be it Salim Idriss (the Dr Engineer General musician) as the savior of the Syrian revolution, only to tell us a few months later that he is no more and that he has no standing. They both did the same about Maarouf that they both promoted and now we are told that he fell too and that he does have a reputation as a war criminal--but a moderate nevertheless who gets money from Saudi Arabia.
