Read this article by Hugh Naylor on Hizbullah: it seems he now fancies himself as one of the experts on Hizbullah. All his references to "press reports" about the Israeli agent, Muhammad Shawraba, were in fact references to rumors and unsubstantiated fabrications published in Hariri and Saudi media. But the article concludes with this: "Nicholas Blanford, a British journalist and expert on Hezbollah, wrote this month in Lebanon’s Daily Star". This is like writing a history of the Holocaust and citing Ahmadinajad as an academic source on the subject. Furthermore, look at the pathetic state of Western journalism in the Middle East: here is a Western correspondent based in Beirut and all that he can read, in a city of tons of newspapers and publications, is the one English-language daily.
