North Korea and the Sony Film

I know, I know. It is customary to appear smart and Western to mock any statement by the government of North Korea. But would the US not protest if the North Korean government, or the Iranian government, were to produce a movie based on a plot of an assassination of a US president? Can you imagine the uproar?
