We can all sleep better today: Alabama will not be governmened by Shari`ah

Over 70 percent of people in Alabama voted to amend the state constitution to ban the Shariah (they call it in the US, shari`ah law, which basically mean "Islamic laws laws" because Shari`ah means Islamic laws) from the state of Alabama. The percentage of Muslims in Alabama is less than 1% of the population.  I read that the head of an Islamic center in Alabama stated that this measure is directed against Islam and Muslims. No kidding, genius.
