This is for humor-of-the-day section: a Sleuth who studied Hizbullah's dead in Syria

"During the recent conflict in Syria, Hezbollah denied taking part in combat altogether. But a 27-year-old self-taught analyst named Phillip Smyth, staying up all night in his Washington, D.C., home, began systematically to expose its denial as a lie. Smyth tracked deaths and funerals among Hezbollah supporters; he would identify the same funeral poster on as many as a hundred Facebook pages, then on Hezbollah’s television channel Al-Manar; finally, in some cases, he would telephone friends in Lebanon and ask them to look for and photograph the same poster on a wall. While Hezbollah was still claiming it had no military role in Syria’s civil war, Smyth had proved the group’s leaders were deploying fighters to the Syrian frontlines."  Look how dumb this story is.  Mr. Smyth, the sleuth of the story, was able to find the deaths of Hizbullah fighters in Syria by...reading the names of Hizbullah fighters in Syria as RELEASED BY HIZBULLAH ITSELF.  The party never hid that and it held public funerals and it released the names and posters of the dead. So I am not sure where the work of Mr. Smyth resided, really, when Hizbullah itself provided him with the information.  Find me when Hizbullah denied it had a role in Syria and when Mr. Sleuth here assembled the information--from Hizbullah public information and public funerals, mind you.
