So why does the US provide weapons to repressive governments in the Middle East? NYT explains

"It suggests that ammunition transferred into Syria and Iraq to help stabilize governments has instead passed from the governments to the jihadists".  Looking at the Middle East today (or even in the last decades, I can say that US goal of achieving stability in the region has been completely accomplished. Well done, America.
